The Breathtaking Besseggen Hike

Norway’s most famous national park Jotunheimen is best seen walking the Besseggen ridge. This fireworks of a trip is walked by 30 000 people in the season from June to September.
The best view during the 5-9 hours walk is from the ridge looking down at the (normally) green glacial-fed Gjende to the left (we did have more dramatic weather) and high alpine Bessvatnet lake til the right.
The hike was mentioned as one of the 19 most thrilling walks by National Geographic in 2014.
This are my photos from late July 2017.
